NEW! Software Update v3.0.2 for Anthem Room Correction System
BETTER ROOM RESPONSE STARTS HERE!
IMPORTANT
NEW USERS: If you are a new user simply follow the installation setup steps provided on the CD included with your new ARC system.
USERS WHO ARE UPDATING AN EXISTING ARC SYSTEM: A complete room remeasurement is strongly recommended in order to benefit from the v3.0 performance updates.
v3.0.2
1. Added single back channel option to MRX. Note that if source has discrete back channels, the right back info will be lost. (No effect on AVM/D operation.)
v3.0.1
1. Fix for quick measure crash caused by starting measurement then disconnecting mic then clicking "disconnect" or the "X".
2. When multiple cal files are present, popup that lists them goes to foreground instead of background.
WHAT’S NEW IN ARC v3.0 …
1. Speaker Positioning Helper under Advanced mode / Tools / Quick Measure.
Benefit: All speakers are continuously sweeped to show uncorrected frequency response graph. Useful for finding the right location for the difficult-to-place subwoofer in particular.
NOTE: New graph will not appear until 10 automatic sweeps of all speakers have been completed.
IMPORTANT! We recommend following up with the full ARC procedure. If you choose not to follow up, then your existing crossover and level settings in the Setup Menu will be needed later—save or record them before finishing with ARC.
2. Bass response measurements below 20 Hz have been further refined. (NOTE: Measurements not shown on graph).
Benefit: Improved performance in all areas of low-frequency response.
3. Upper frequency measurements have been further refined. The default 5 kHz correction range is still the recommended setting but experimentation with the system is still the only way to determine whether a different setting would be beneficial. Recalibration data is now embedded.
Benefit: Improved performance in all areas of high-frequency response.
4. Advanced Controls in Targets Panel for the subwoofers’ low-end roll-off.
NOTE: As always, ARC’s auto-detected settings are the ones generally recommended. Manual overrides are not intended for use by general users as advanced tools and knowledge are required.
5. Flat Correction Range Option now included when speakers are set to full-range in Targets Panel. To access Flat Correction:
a) Select Full-Range Crossover;
b) Set Frequency Response lower than 25 Hz or type ‘f’ in the frequency window.
REMINDER! Typing ‘n/N’ in Target Customization window for a frequency response cutoff on any speaker other than a Left or Right front speaker will cause the system to auto-complete to ‘No Speaker’ thereby disabling the speaker for the intended configuration. See below for a visual example.

Benefit: Further improvements to accuracy of response.
6. Room Gain is now set to 4 dB maximum (previously 6 dB). If ARC is detecting no room gain it could be because …
a) The speakers’ low-frequency response does not result in room gain;
b) Bass traps have done their job and removed room gain;
c) The room setting is spacious and no room gain is present.
Benefit: Further improvements to accuracy of response.
7. Measurement levels in the graph have been adjusted by 6 dB (does not affect EQ).
Benefit: Reflection of the flexibility and product longevity that Anthem provides in ongoing software updates to existing product.
IMPORTANT: Before commencing installation of ARC v3.0 read the 'Read Me' file included in this download.
8. Added compatibility for NEW! Anthem MRX Receivers.
